The Glencairn Lounge

Food tasted amazing, and we had to leave a large amount because the portions were so generous. Sharing starter for 2 could have easily fed 4. Could have not ordered a starter or any sides and would still have left completely stuffed. Wanted a desert but I just can't, think I would burst!

Decided to treat the Lady to lunch. She had the enchiladas & I had the Steak pie. When our lunch arrived it was steaming hot & the portion would have fed an army. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Would strongly recommend to everyone to visit this pub at least once - they won't be disappointed. Great staff..very attentive.

Possibly the best food I have EVER had. The starter, perfect. It’s hard to get Halloumi spot on but this hit the spot, gold and crispy all around. Complemented perfectly with the very sweet chilli dip, I also pinched one of colleagues Tempura Prawns that were on again, probably the best Tempura Prawn I’ve ever eaten!! The portion sizes on the main were HUUGE, A whole bowl of fries that were cooked to perfection, onion rings and mushrooms were spot on too! And well… the filet steak was something I’d do the 380 mile round trip all over again for!! It was spectacular I didn’t want to finish it. The service was outstanding as well, cannot fault it (however they did forget to bring me another beer once but I can let that slide.) Atmosphere was lovely, a small part of the pub had been turnt into a dining area and was full up constantly. We were lucky to get a table, you could feel the sense of quality over quantity and it really showed in the food. Thank you very much The Glencairn and staff!!

Come hungry, the food was a huge portion! The staff was friendly and the Steak Pie was incredible. We heard the cheesecake is also a go-to item on the menu but unfortunately it was sold out.

Very popular eating establishment. Great menu choice, huge portions and good quality. Update: Just had the festive menu. Excellent value, service a tad slow but they were very busy. Note to chef though: the Xmas pudding is advertised as accompanied by brandy sauce, not the custard you served me. That said the food was excellent.

Another great visit, this time with the 2 kids in tow. Starters were the mussels and fried prawns, both delicious. I wasn't a fan of my t-bone, but I also wasn't feeling great that day. Knew I should of stuck to my enchilada! Kids loved their meals of mac n cheese and bacon cheeseburger- both served with literally a mound of fries! Topped off with chocolate cake & ice cream, which they shared as they were too stuffed to each have their own!

Went here recently after over a year. Was not disappointed. The food here is great and the portions are huge... Enough for the biggest appetite! I had the chicken enchiladas. Wow. Fantastic! Well worth a visit. Went back again recently and had the chicken fajitas. Very tasty, and a fantastic portion!! Back again for the enchiladas..... just fabulous!
